The Canal du Midi is 240 km long from Toulouse to the Etang de Thau it has 64 locks, 55 aqueducs, 7 canal bridges, 126 bridges and other épanchoirs, weirs and troughs : a total of over 350 works of art !
The Canal du Midi is the most famous waterway in Europe and therefore works for 3 centuries ! Towpaths are lined with plane trees sometimes tricentenaires : more than 45 000 trees were originally planted.
We meet beautiful hillside scenery, charming stops can discover towns and villages.
Discover the legendary Camargue and its marshes with horses, bulls and pink flamingos.
